Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah tipis pada akhir bulan, namun sepanjang bulan Agustus lalu indeks ditutup menguat yaitu indeks Dow Jones +1,2% mom, S&P500 +2,9% mom dan Nasdaq Composite +4% mom. Indeks consumer confidence AS pada bulan Agustus turun pada level terendah selama enam bulan terakhir, mengindikasikan kekhawatiran akan prospek ekonomi. Pasar mengantisipasi potensi koreksi pada bulan September, mengingat secara historis indeks membukukan kinerja terburuk pada bulan September. Pasar mengantisipasi pertemuan The Fed pada 21-22 September, kekhawatiran penyebaran virus varian delta, serta karena indeks di Wall Street belum mengalami koreksi signifikan sejak Oktober tahun lalu.
IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 31 Agustus 2021 ditutup menguat 0,09% pada level 6150. Saham sektor teknologi membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp544,53 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6110/6060 dan resistance 6180/6195. Stock pick: BBNI, BMRI, UNTR, TLKM, TBIG
