Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup mix di mana indeks Dow Jones dan indeks S&P500 ditutup melemah sedangkan Nasdaq Composite ditutup menguat terbatas. Pasar khawatir The Fed akan mempertahankan suku bunga tinggi lebih lama dari perkiraan, seiring dengan pernyataan Chairman The Fed Jerome Powell bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi AS dan pasar tenaga kerja masih kuat dan inflasi masih di atas target The Fed sehingga The Fed tidak terburu-buru menurunkan suku bunga. Yield US-Treasury dengan tenor 10 tahun naik pada level 4,319% akibat pernyataan tersebut. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah menguat akibat meningkatnya ketegangan politik. Harga emas juga berlanjut menguat mencapai level tertinggi baru.

IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 1 April 2024 ditutup melemah 1,15% pada level 7205. Saham sektor keuangan mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor basic materials menjadi satu-satunya sektor yang menguat. Investor asing mencatatkan net sell Rp1,519 triliun termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler.
