Indeks di bursa Wall Street pada akhir pekan lalu ditutup variatif, di mana indeks Dow Jones dan S&P500 ditutup menguat, sedangkan Nasdaq Composite ditutup menguat. Data nonfarm payrolls bulan Agustus mencatatkan jumlah penyerapan tenaga kerja sebanyak 187 ribu, meningkat dari bulan sebelumnya 157 ribu serta di atas estimasi 170 ribu. Namun tingkat pengangguran naik pada level 3,8%, yang merupakan level tertinggi sejak Februari 2022. Tingkat upah naik 4,3% yoy, di bawah estimasi yang sebesar 4,4% yoy. Data tersebut meningkatkan peluang bahwa The Fed akan mempertahankan suku bunganya tetap pada pertemuan bulan ini. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah berlanjut menguat karena mengetatnya suplay dan ekspektasi OPEC+ akan memperpanjang pemangkasan produksinya hingga akhir tahun ini.

Bursa Wall Street pada hari Senin akan libur Labor Day. Data ekonomi AS yang akan dirilis pada pekan ini diantaranya indeks ISM non manufacturing dan initial claims. Dari domestik, data ekonomi yang akan dirilis pada pekan ini adalah cadangan devisa dan indeks keyakinan konsumen.

IHSG pada perdagangan Jumat 1 September 2023 ditutup menguat 0,35% pada level 6977. Saham sektor basic material membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor transportasi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp504,92 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6950/6925 dan resistance 6992/7010. Stock pick: BBCA, BMRI, ASII, UNTR, ANTM, MEDC, ESSA, AKRA, BRPT
