Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat terbatas. Investor menelaah risalah pertemuan The Fed pada bulan lalu. Federal Reserve merilis risalah dari pertemuan Juni, menunjukkan bahwa bank sentral berkomitmen untuk menurunkan inflasi. Dari risalah tersebut juga menunjukkan anggota Fed mengatakan pertemuan pada 26 dan 27 Juli kemungkinan juga akan menaikkan suku bunga sebesar 0,5%-0,75%. Yield obligasi meningkat setelah dirilisnya Fed minutes tersebut, yang mengindikasikan investor obligasi mengantisipasi akan kenaikan suku bunga The Fed yang lebih tinggi. Namun hal tersebut direspon positif oleh investor saham, karena harapan dengan kenaikan suku bunga The Fed yang cepat dan agresif akan segera menurunkan inflasi sehingga ekonomi dapat segera normal kembali. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah melemah akibat kecemasan akan resesi ekonomi.

IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 6 Juli 2022 ditutup melemah 0,85% pada level 6646. Sektor industri mengalami koreksi paling besar, sedangkan saham sektor consumer noncyclical membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp305,75 miliar, termasuk transaksi non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6600/6560 dan resistance 6670/6710.
