Pada perdagangan Senin, bursa Wall Street libur Labor Day. Indeks bursa global dan indeks Dow Jones Futures menguat karena data nonfarm payrolls yang melambat menimbulkan ekspektasi The Fed akan menunda melakukan tapering. Indeks bursa Eropa menguat ditopang oleh kenaikan pada saham sektor teknologi. Indeks bursa Jepang juga mengalami kenaikan didorong oleh ekspektasi akan kebijakan ekonomi yang baru seiring dengan mundurnya perdana menteri Jepang Yoshihide Suga. Harga aluminium mengalami kenaikan dipicu oleh adanya kudeta pemerintahan di Guinea, yang menimbulkan kekhawatiran akan suplay bahan mentah yang digunakan untuk membuat logam karena potensi gangguan pengiriman bauksit dari negara pemasok utama tersebut. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah melemah setelah Arab Saudi menurunkan harga jual minyak untuk pembeli dari Asia.
IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 6 September 2021 ditutup stagnan pada level 6126. Saham sektor properti membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp366,65 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6110/6050 dan resistance 6150/6180.
