Market Review and Prediction

Indeks di bursa Wall Street pada akhir pekan lalu ditutup mix, di mana indeks Dow Jones menguat sedangkan indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite melemah. Namun selama sepekan lalu indeks Dow Jones -0,13%, indeks S&P500 +0,36% dan Nasdaq Composite +2,15%. Data nonfarm payrolls bulan Juli menunjukkan penyerapan tenaga kerja sebanyak 528 ribu, meningkat dari 398 ribu bulan sebelumnya dan di atas estimasi yang sebesar 250 ribu. Upah per jam naik 0,5%, di atas estimasi yang sebesar 0,3% dan dari bulan sebelumnya yang naik 0,4%. Tingkat pengangguran turun pada level 3,5% dari 3,6% bulan sebelumnya. Data pasar tenaga kerja yang jauh di atas estimasi tersebut menimbulkan dua respon yang berbeda. Pasar tenaga kerja yang masih kuat menandakan ekonomi AS tidak berada dalam masa resesi, namun di sisi lain dapat membuat kebijakan moneter The Fed yang ketat masih akan berlanjut. Tingkat upah yang di atas estimasi juga menandakan inflasi masih menjadi masalah. Pada pekan ini pasar akan menantikan data inflasi (CPI) AS bulan Juli yang akan dirilis pada hari Rabu waktu AS.

IHSG pada perdagangan Jumat 5 Agustus 2022 ditutup menguat 0,39% pada level 7084. Saham sektor transportasi membukukan kenaikan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor industri mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp1,461 triliun, termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7030/7005 dan resistance 7100/7132.
