Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup kembali ditutup menguat. Saham sektor energi menjadi salah satu kontributor penguatan indeks, seiring dengan reboundnya harga minyak mentah. Saham sektor komoditas juga mengalami kenaikan. Saham pembuat chip mendorong kenaikan saham sektor teknologi, dipicu oleh laporan keuangan Samsung yang membukukan pertumbuhan pendapatan dan laba. Sementara itu data initial claims pekan lalu sedikit mengalami kenaikan. Pasar menantikan data nonfarm payrolls yang akan dirilis nanti malam, sebagai salah satu indikator yang digunakan pasar untuk menilai kesehatan ekonomi AS. Menurut konsensus, penyerapan tenaga kerja AS pada bulan Juni diperkirakanakan melambat menjadi 250 ribu dari bulan sebelumnya 390 ribu.

IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 7 Juli 2022 ditutup menguat 0,09% pada level 6652. Saham sektor teknologi membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor industri mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp666,86 miliar, termasuk transaksi non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6600/6560 dan resistance 6700/6760.
