Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah akibat komentar Chairman The Fed Jerome Powell yang mengindikasikan The Fed akan menaikkan suku bunga lebih tinggi dan lebih lama dari perkiraan sebelumnya karena data ekonomi yang lebih kuat dari prediksi sebelumnya. Komentar Powell tersebut mengindikasikan The Fed dapat menaikkan suku bunga lebih dari 0,25% pada pertemuan 21-22 Maret mendatang, tergantung perkembangan data ekonomi AS seperti data nonfarm payrolls yang akan dirilis Jumat nanti. Yield US-Treasury dengan tenor 2 tahun melompat pada level tertinggi sejak tahun 2007 pada level 5%. Saham perbankan mengalami pelemahan terbesar akibat kecemasan akan terjadinya resesi ekonomi AS seiring dengan kenaikan suku bunga The Fed. Saham sektor teknologi juga melemah akibat kenaikan bunga. Saham sektor energi melemah seiring dengan koreksi harga minyak mentah akibat penguatan dollar AS.

IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 7 Maret 2023 ditutup melemah 0,59% pada level 6766. Semua sektor mengalami koreksi dengan pelemahan terbesar pada sektor transportasi. Investor asing mencatatkan net sell Rp377,93 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6750/6720 dan resistance 6800/6820. Stock pick: BBRI, BMRI, BBCA, BBNI, ICBP, INDF, MTEL, KLBF
