Indeks di bursa Wall Street kembali ditutup mix, dimana indeks Dow Jones menguat tipis, sedangkan indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite ditutup melemah. Faktor negatif antara lain berasal dari kecemasan akan permintaan semikonduktor yang mendorong koreksi pada saham sektor teknologi. Nvidia merilis pendapatan kuartal II yang lebih rendah dari perkiraan, menimbulkan sentimen negatif terhadap saham semikonduktor. Beberapa saham terkait energi bersih menguat setelah Senat meloloskan UU yang ditujukan untuk mengatasi perubahan iklim. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah rebound. Harga emas menguat seiring dengan melemahnya dollar AS dan yield obligasi pemerintah AS.

IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 8 Agustus 2022 ditutup menguat 0,03% pada level 7086. Saham sektor transportasi membukukan kenaikan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp1,19 triliun, termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7030/7005 dan resistance 7100/7132.
