Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup mix, dimana indeks Dow Jones dan S&P500 ditutup melemah sedangkan Nasdaq Composite ditutup menguat tipis. Sentimen negatif antara lain berasal dari kekhawatiran akan perlambatan ekonomi global karena penyebaran virus varian delta. Harga minyak mentah terkoreksi pada level terendah sejak Mei 2021 yang disebabkan oleh kecemasan akan penurunan permintaan akibat meningkatnya penyebaran virus varian delta. Saham sektor energi, penerbangan dan pelayaran mengalami koreksi. Harga emas juga melemah di bawah level USD1800/t.oz akibat kuatnya data nonfarm payrolls yang dirilis pada akhir pekan lalu meningkatkan ekspekasi akan potensi kenaikan suku bunga The Fed lebih cepat dari perkiraan sebelumnya. Selain itu penguatan dollar AS juga menekan harga emas. Pasar akan menantikan data indikator inflasi AS yang akan dirilis pekan ini, yaitu CPI pada hari Rabu dan PPI pada hari Kamis.
IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 9 Agustus 2021 ditutup melemah 1,22% pada level 6127. Saham sektor basic materials mengalami pelemahan terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp671,18 miliar. Koreksi indeks antara lain disebabkan oleh profit taking dan turunnya harga komoditas akibat kekhawatiran akan dampak penyebaran virus varian delta serta potensi The Fed akan melakukan tapering lebih cepat dari perkiraan karena data nonfarm payrolls AS yang bagus. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6095/6050 dan resistance 6165/6190. Stock pick: BANK, INCO, INDY, KRAS, ERAA, SIDO
