Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah, pasar menantikan data inflasi yang akan dirilis pada pekan ini. Pasar menantikan apakah data inflasi kembali mengalami penurunan dan dapat membuat The Fed menghentikan kenaikan suku bunganya. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah kembali mengalami penguatan, setelah data cadangan minyak AS mengalami penurunan dan mengetatnya suplay karena pemangkasan produksi minyak oleh Arab Saudi dan Rusia. Namun melambatnya pemulihan permintaan dari China membatasi penguatan harga minyak mentah.

IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 9 Agustus 2023 ditutup menguat 0,09% pada level 6875. Saham sektor consumer noncyclical membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp816,55 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6850/6810 dan resistance 6915/6930. Stock pick: BBRI, BBCA, BBNI, ASII, TLKM, ISAT, CTRA, CPIN, JPFA, PGEO, SCMA
