Indeks di bursa Wall Street pada akhir pekan lalu ditutup mix, di mana indeks Dow Jones ditutup di area negatif, sedangkan indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite ditutup menguat. Indeks S&P500 ditutup di atas level 5000 untuk pertama kalinya. Data inflasi Desember direvisi menjadi lebih rendah dari laporan sebelumnya, serta kuatnya data ekonomi AS dan rata-rata laporan keuangan emiten yang bagus, telah menjadi faktor positif bagi pergerakan indeks di bursa Wall Street. Hingga saat ini dari 332 emiten dalam indeks S&P500 yang telah merilis laporan keuangan Q4/2023, sebanyak 81% membukukan laba di atas estimasi.

IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 07 Februari 2024 ditutup melemah 0,17% pada level 7235. Saham sektor basic material mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor transportasi membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp1,428 triliun termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler.
