Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat, reli menjelang dirilisnya laporan kinerja peritel pada pekan ini. Sebelumnya indeks sempat melemah akibat koreksi pada saham energi dan keuangan. Kemudian indeks rebound didorong oleh penguatan pada saham sektor konsumer, jasa komunikasi dan sektor teknologi. Pada pekan ini investor menantikan laporan keuangan Wal-Mart, Home Depot dan Target, serta mencermati dampak inflasi terhadap kinerjanya. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah melemah di bawah level USD 90/barel, akibat kekhawatiran akan perlambatan ekonomi China setelah bank sentral China menurunkan suku bunga serta data produksi industri dan ritel di bawah estimasi. Kenaikan dollar AS juga mendorong koreksi pada harga minyak mentah dan emas.

IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 15 Agustus 2022 ditutup melemah 0,51% pada level 7093. Saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor properti membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp209,61 miliar, termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7020/6970 dan resistance 7160/7180.
