Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah signifikan akibat kekhawatiran investor akan metode pengetatan kebijakan moneter yang agresif dari The Fed sebagai upaya untuk menurunkan laju inflasi akan mengakibatkan terjadinya resesi ekonomi. Sehari sebelumnya, indeks justru mengalami kenaikan setelah The Fed mengumumkan kenaikan suku bunga sebesar 0,75% dan mengindikasikan akan kembali menaikkan suku bunga sebesar 0,5%-0,75% pada pertemuan Juli mendatang. Indeks Dow Jones turun di bawah level 30.000 untuk pertama kalinya sejak Januari 2021 dan hampir memasuki area bearish karena telah melemah 19% dari level tertingginya. Sedangkan indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite melanjutkan penurunannya di area bearish dengan pelemahan masing-masing sebesar 24% dan 34% dari level tertingginya. Beberapa data ekonomi AS, seperti housing starts dan indeks Philadelphia Fed menunjukkan penurunan, sehingga semakin memicu kecemasan akan prospek ekonomi AS.

IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 16 Juni 2022 ditutup menguat 0,62% pada level 7050. Saham sektor energi membukukan kenaikan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor teknologi menjadi satu-satunya sektor yang melemah. Investor asing net buy Rp397,60 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6950/6925 dan resistance 7095/7150. Stock pick: BBCA, ARTO, PGAS, PTBA
