Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah yang dipicu oleh koreksi pada saham peritel setelah adanya peringatan dari Target akan adanya penurunan penjualan pada musim liburan di tengah tingginya inflasi. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah melemah, meskipun terjadi penurunan dollar AS, karena kembali dimulainya pengiriman minyak mentah dari Rusia melalui pipa di Hungaria setelah sebelumnya sempat dihentikan. Kenaikan kasus Covid-19 di China juga menjadi faktor negatif bagi harga minyak mentah, meskipun data cadangan minyak AS mengalami penurunan. Sedangkan harga minyak mentah menguat karena pelemahan dollar AS.

IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 16 November 2022 ditutup melemah 0,30% pada level 7014. Saham sektor basic materials mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor teknologi membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp1,332 triliun termasuk transaksi di pasar non regular. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6976/6956 dan resistance 7050/7073.
