Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah signifikan akibat kekhawatiran akan meningkatnya ketegangan Rusia dan Ukraina, membuat investor beralih dari aset yang berisiko seperti saham. Kekhawatiran akan konflik Rusia-Ukraina meningkat setelah Duta Besar AS untuk PBB menyatakan bahwa konflik telah mencapai momen kritikal. Ukraina juga menyebutkan pro separatis Rusia melakukan penyerangan di dekat perbatasan. Pelemahan indeks dikontribusikan oleh hampir semua sektor, kecuali saham sektor konsumer yang defensif mengalami kenaikan. Investor juga beralih ke aset yang dianggap lebih aman seperti emas dan obligasi pemerintah AS. Sehingga harga emas mengalami kenaikan dan yield US-Treasury dengan tenor 10 tahun turun di bawah level 2%. Sementara itu data initial claims pekan lalu naik sebanyak 248 ribu, di atas perkiraan 218 ribu.

IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 17 Februari 2022 ditutup melemah 0,22% pada level 6835. Saham sektor energi mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor consumer cyclicals mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp628,62 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6775/6725 dan resistance 6875/6900. Stock pick: BBCA, ARTO, PTPP, WIKA, MDKA, INCO, ANTM, TLKM
