Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup mix, indeks Dow Jones ditutup melemah sedangkan indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite ditutup menguat. Koreksi indeks Dow Jones akibat pelemahan pada saham Cisco Systems yang merilis proyeksi lebih rendah dari perkiraan akibat gangguan jaringan suplay. Sedangkan indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite menguat didorong oleh laporan kinerja saham sektor teknologi dan peritel yang mengindikasikan masih kuatnya daya beli masyarakat meskipun inflasi tinggi, namun juga diduga karena masyarakat melakukan belanja liburan lebih awal untuk menghindari kehabisan barang akibat gangguan jaringan suplay. Kecemasan bahwa inflasi akan terus meningkat dan potensi The Fed dapat menaikkan suku bunga lebih cepat, membuat pergerakan indeks di Wall Street cenderung terbatas pada pekan ini. Sementara itu data initial claims pekan lalu turun pada level terendah mendekati level sebelum pandemi.
IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 18 November 2021 ditutup melemah 0,59% pada level 6636. Saham sektor keuangan mengalami koreksi terbesar. Sedangkan saham sektor consumer cyclical membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp418,02 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6620/6590 dan resistance 6675/6704. Stock pick: BBRI, BMRI, TLKM, ADRO, PTBA, PGAS, INDF, ICBP, KLBF
