Indeks di bursa Wall Street pada perdagangan akhir pekan lalu ditutup mix, di mana indeks Dow Jones ditutup menguat terbatas sedangkan indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite ditutup di teritori negatif. Yield US-Treasury dengan tenor 10 tahun mengalami penurunan pada hari Jumat setelah sehari sebelumnya mencapai level tertinggi sejak Oktober 2022. Kenaikan yield tersebut akibat adanya indikasi The Fed akan melanjutkan tren kenaikan suku bunganya karena adanya kekhawatiran akan potensi inflasi yang kembali mengalami kenaikan. Pasar akan mencermati komentar Chairman The Fed Jerome Powell pada symposium tahunan di Jackson Hole pada pekan ini. Dari domestik, pasar akan menantikan data transaksi berjalan Q2/2023 dan Rapat Dewan Gubernur Bank Indonesia pada pekan ini.

IHSG pada perdagangan Jumat 18 Agustus 2023 ditutup melemah 0,59% pada level 6859. Saham sektor industri mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor energi membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net sell Rp258,2 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6830/6800 dan resistance 6900/6915. Stock pick: BMRI, BBRI, BBCA, EXCL, PGEO, PGAS, ADRO, ADMR, MEDC, ICBP, MYOR
