Indeks di bursa Wall Street kembali ditutup melemah akibat ekspektasi akan kenaikan suku bunga The Fed pada tahun ini, meskipun indeks sempat menguat tajam pada awal sesi. Yield US-Treasury dengan tenor dua tahun mencapai level 1,04%, sedangkan dengan tenor 10 tahun pada level 1,87%. Pasar menantikan pertemuan The Fed pada pekan depan. Meskipun The Fed belum akan menaikkan suku bunga pada Januari ini, namun pasar memprediksi The Fed akan menaikkan suku bunganya sebesar 0,25% selama empat kali pada tahun ini.
IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 20 Januari 2022 ditutup menguat 0,53% pada level 6626. Saham sektor energi membukukan penguatan terbesar. Sedangkan saham sektor transportasi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp81,11 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6575/6535 dan resistance 6670/6690.
