Indeks di bursa Wall Street kembali ditutup melemah akibat komentar Chairman The Fed Jerome Powell mengenai inflasi. Dalam testimoninya di hadapan Komite Jasa Keuangan DPR AS, Powell menyatakan bahwa kenaikan suku bunga acuan selanjutnya masih diperlukan karena tingkat inflasi yang masih jauh dari target The Fed. Powell juga menyatakan bahwa pasar tenaga kerja masih ketat meskipun mulai ada tanda-tanda melonggar. Pernyataan tersebut sama dengan komentar setelah pertemuan The Fed pekan lalu yang mempertahankan suku bunga tetap setelah menaikkannya selama 10 kali berturut-turut. The Fed mengindikasikan akan ada kenaikan suku bunga lagi sebanyak dua kali pada tahun ini dengan masing-masing kenaikan sebesar 0,25%. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah menguat dipicu oleh pelemahan dollar AS dan kenaikan harga jagung dan kedelai AS pada level tertinggi selama beberapa bulan terakhir yang meningkatkan ekspektasi bahwa kekurangan panen bahan makanan dapat menurunkan campuran biofuel sehingga meningkatkan permintaan minyak mentah.

IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 21 Juni 2023 ditutup menguat 0,63% pada level 6702. Saham sektor consumer cyclical membukukan kenaikan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor kesehatan menjadi satu-satunya sektor yang melemah. Investor asing mencatatkan net sell Rp62,17 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6670/6660 dan resistance 6722/6750. Stock pick: BBRI, BBTN, BBNI, BBCA, ISAT, ASII, MEDC, AKRA, UNVR
