Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup mix di mana indeks Dow Jones ditutup melemah sedangkan indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite ditutup di area positif. Pasar masih menantikan perkembangan negosiasi kenaikan batas atas utang AS untuk menghindari gagal bayar. Kendala utama negosiasi tersebut masih mengenai pemangkasan belanja pemerintah yang menjadi bahan argumen kedua belah pihak. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah menguat dipicu oleh proyeksi kenaikan permintaan minyak mentah pada semester II tahun ini dan berkurangnya suplay dari Kanada dan OPEC+ dalam beberapa pekan terakhir ini. Namun kenaikan harga minyak mentah lebih lanjut tertahan oleh penguatan dollar AS. Sedangkan harga emas melemah akibat kekhawatiran berlanjutnya kenaikan suku bunga The Fed.

IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 22 Mei 2023 ditutup menguat 0,43% pada level 6729. Saham sektor energi membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp181,39 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6715/6690 dan resistance 6760/6790. Stock pick: BBRI, BBNI, BMRI, BBCA, BRIS, TLKM, ISAT, EXCL, ASII, BSDE, MYOR
