Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat dipicu oleh adanya berita otoritas AS memberikan persetujuan penuh atas vaksin Pfizer-BioNTech serta pasar menantikan Simposium Jackson Hole pada pekan ini. Saham sektor energi juga menguat seiring dengan kenaikan harga minyak mentah yang didorong oleh pertumbuhan permintaan dan melemahnya dollar AS. Harga emas juga menguat di atas level USD1800/t.oz yang didorong oleh koreksinya dollar AS dan optimisme bahwa The Fed tidak akan melakukan tapering dalam waktu dekat.
IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 23 Agustus 2021 ditutup menguat 1,31% pada level 6109. Saham sektor teknologi membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp2,12 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6050/6030 dan resistance 6145/6180. Stock pick: BMRI, TLKM, FREN, EMTK, WIKA, WSKT, ADRO, TINS
