Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah akibat negosiasi kenaikan batas atas utang AS belum mencapai kemajuan yang berarti pada waktu yang semakin mendekati deadline 1 Juni 2023. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah menguat dipicu oleh proyeksi kenaikan permintaan bensin serta peringatan dari Arab Saudi terhadap para spekulator yang melakukan short selling yang menaikkan prospek pemangkasan output produksi OPEC+ lebih lanjut. Harga emas rebound seiring dengan turunnya yield US-Treasury dan dollar AS dari level tertingginya.

IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 23 Mei 2023 ditutup menguat 0,10% pada level 6736. Saham sektor transportasi membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp787,77 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6715/6690 dan resistance 6755/6780. Stock pick: BBRI, BBNI, BBCA, TLKM, INDF, ICBP, MYOR, INCO, HRUM, INDY
