Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat didorong oleh respon positif pasar terhadap pernyataan The Fed serta semakin meredanya kekhawatiran akan potensi gagal bayar Evergrande. Prospek kinerja beberapa emiten yang lebih baik dari estimasi serta persetujuan dari FDA AS untuk memberikan vaksin Pfizer sebagai booster bagi usia 65 tahun ke atas, juga menjadi sentimen positif. Pasar sudah mengantipasi bahwa The Fed akan mengurangi pembelian obligasi paling cepat bulan November. Suku bunga diprediksi akan naik lebih cepat dari perkiraan sebelumnya, yaitu pada tahun depan. Namun Chairman The Fed Jerome Powell menyatakan bahwa standar untuk menaikkan suku bunga dari 0% lebih tinggi dibandingkan syarat untuk melakukan tapering. Investor mengabaikan data yang menunjukkan pertumbuhan aktivitas bisnis yang lesu dan kenaikan klaim pengangguran, karena sejalan dengan ekspektasi perlambatan pertumbuhan ekonomi pada kuartal ketiga.
IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 23 September 2021 ditutup menguat 0,56% pada level 6142. Saham sektor energi membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp869,05 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6100/6060 dan resistance 6168/6180. Stock pick: BBRI, AGRO, ADRO, PTBA, AKRA, ARTO
