Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat cukup signifikan, di mana indeks Dow Jones menguat selama lima hari perdagangan berturut-turut setelah melemah selama delapan pekan terakhir. Indeks rebound dengan harapan inflasi akan turun setelah risalah rapat The Fed mengindikasikan akan menaikkan suku bunga lebih banyak dari perkiraan sebelumnya sebagai upaya untuk menurunkan inflasi. Sehari sebelumnya dirilis risalah rapat dari pertemuan The Fed pada awal Mei lalu yang mengindikasikan bahwa mayoritas pejabat The Fed setuju untuk menaikkan suku bunga sebesar 0,5% pada beberapa pertemuan berikutnya. Selain itu risalah rapat tersebut juga mengindikasikan bahwa selain berharap dapat menurunkan inflasi, The Fed khawatir dengan risiko stabilitas keuangan. Sebelumnya pasar memperkirakan suku bunga acuan akan berada pada level 2,5%-2,75% pada akhir tahun ini, namun dengan adanya pernyataan dari risalah rapat tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa The Fed bersiap untuk menaikkan suku bunga di atas level itu.
IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 25 Mei 2022 ditutup melemah 0,44% pada level 6883. Saham sektor basic materials mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor kesehatan membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp134,82 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6850/6803 dan resistance 6950/6990.
