Bursa Wall Street kemarin tutup libur Memorial Day. Bursa UK juga tutup libur bank holiday. Indeks bursa Eropa ditutup menguat setelah pada hari Minggu Presiden Biden dan ketua DPR AS dari Partai Republik mencapai kesepakatan untuk menaikkan plafon utang AS sebesar USD31,4 triliun hingga 1 Januari 2025. Diharapkan RUU plafon utang AS ini akan dilakukan voting di kongres pada 31 Mei 2023 dan kemudian akan dilanjutkan voting di senat. Batas waktu kenaikan plafon utang AS ini pada 5 Juni 2023. Harga minyak mentah menguat dengan adanya berita tercapainya kesepakatan kenaikan plafon utang AS tersebut. Sebaliknya harga emas melemah karena ekspektasi kenaikan suku bunga The Fed masih berpotensi berlanjut.

IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 29 Mei 2023 ditutup melemah 0,09% pada level 6681. Saham sektor transportasi mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor teknologi membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net sell Rp422,73 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler.
