Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup variatif, dimana indeks Dow Jones ditutup melemah sedangkan indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite ditutup menguat mencapai rekor tertinggi baru. Saham sektor teknologi mengkontribusikan penguatan terbesar, karena mendapatkan keuntungan dari suku bunga rendah. Investor merespon positif pernyataan Chairman The Fed pekan lalu di Jackson Hole yang mengindikasikan bahwa The Fed akan tetap hati-hati dalam menarik stimulusnya yang masif selama pandemi, selain juga menegaskan kembali pemulihan ekonomi yang stabil. The Fed juga mengindikasikan tidak tergesa-gesa menaikkan suku bunga langsung setelah tapering dilakukan. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah menguat, namun harga saham sektor energi melemah akibat kekhawatiran akan dampak jangka panjang badai Ida terhadap kawasan dekat pusat utama industri minyak lepas pantai AS di Port Fourchon, Louisiana.
IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 30 Agustus 2021 ditutup menguat 1,71% pada level 6144. Saham sektor industri membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp567,49 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6110/6060 dan resistance 6180/6195. Stock pick: ASII, BBRI, BMRI, INDF, UNTR, TLKM
