Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup mix, dimana indeks Dow Jones dan S&P500 ditutup melemah, sedangkan Nasdaq Composite ditutup menguat. Investor melakukan profit taking atas beberapa saham yang diuntungkan dari pemulihan ekonomi, setelah beberapa hari mengalami kenaikan. Saham sektor perbankan dan energi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Harga obligasi pemerintah AS mengalami kenaikan, sehingga yield dengan tenor 10 tahun mengalami penurunan pada level terendah sejak Februari di bawah level 1,4%. Investor khawatir pemulihan ekonomi secara cepat dari pandemi mungkin telah mencapai puncaknya, terlihat dari pertumbuhan beberapa data ekonomi yang melambat. Indeks ISM sektor jasa bulan Juni melambat pada level 60,1 dari bulan sebelumnya pada level 64, serta lebih rendah dari estimasi 63. Penurunan yield juga menunjukkan keraguan investor terhadap kekuatan ekonomi AS. Investor menantikan rilis Fed minutes pada hari Rabu waktu AS untuk mencari petunjuk mengenai pengurangan program pembelian obligasi oleh The Fed.
IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 6 Juli 2021 ditutup menguat 0,69% pada level 6047. Saham sektor teknologi membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp410,03 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6010/5985 dan resistance 6070/6090. Stock pick: ADRO, PTBA, EMTK, INCO, CTRA, BSDE, CPIN
