Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat yang terutama dikontribusikan oleh kenaikan saham sektor teknologi besar. Yield obligasi pemerintah AS dengan tenor 10 tahun turun hingga level 1,296%. Turunnya yield ini dan prediksi investor bahwa pemulihan ekonomi AS telah mencapai puncaknya, membuat investor kembali beralih ke saham teknologi. Hasil risalah rapat The Fed pada 15-16 Juni lalu menunjukkan bahwa The Fed mulai membicarakan pengurangan program pembelian obligasi, namun juga menyatakan tidak akan tergesa-gesa untuk melakukannya. Beberapa pejabat The Fed menyatakan bahwa pemulihan ekonomi berjalan dengan cepat, namun belum memenuhi kemajuan lebih lanjut yang subtansial untuk melakukan pengetatan kebijakan moneter. Pertemuan tersebut juga mengulangi pandangan The Fed bahwa inflasi telah melaju lebih cepat dari perkiraan, namun kenaikan tersebut hanya bersifat sementara. Saham sektor perbankan berlanjut melemah karena penurunan yield menjadi faktor negatif bagi prospek laba perbankan. Saham sektor energi juga kembali melemah seiring dengan koreksinya harga minyak mentah.
IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 7 Juli 2021 ditutup melemah 0,05% pada level 6044, setelah sebelumnya sempat melemah hingga level 6022. Saham sektor energi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp189,01 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6010/5985 dan resistance 6070/6090. Stock pick: ANTM, INCO, ADRO, TLKM, CPIN
